Being from a larger family she often spent her days drawing and painting. Her family lived on a beautiful lake in the woods with horse fields nearby where she developed a great appreciation of flora and fauna. For Elizabeth each day is an adventure and she finds inspiration from everywhere in her daily life. She likes looking to the decor market, boutique vintage stores, floral gardens, and the rolling farm fields. When she can, she loves to travel and find inspiration from far away places pulling in culture, shapes, color and mood.
ARTIST STATEMENT Elizabeth’s work explores the varying relationships between popular themes in everday life interpreted using color, light, textures and movement. Her work is often colorful and abstract in style not as concerned with capturing the subject matter exactly as you see it, but instead focussed on capturing feeling and energy. Her painting brings joy, freedom and a celebration of the beauty. For Elizabeth her deepest wish is to be able to convey those feelings on to you offering a moment of happiness, and a sense of contentment.
